“When my times up on this earth
and they bury me in that dirt,
don’t say that I ain’t milk this life
for everything that it’s worth.”

Rob Dyrdek
“Everything in life is a fantasy
until you choose to make it a reality.”
Robert Stanley “Rob” Dyrdek (born June 28, 1974) is an American professional skateboarder, actor, entrepreneur, producer, philanthropist, and reality TV star. He is best known for his roles in the reality shows Rob and Big and Rob Dyrdek’s Fantasy Factory.
“I keep everybody in their position that makes the most sense, keep everybody comfortable. I don’t put any grand expectations on anyone I work with.
I hire them inside their lane.”
Michael Jackson
“The greatest education in the world is watching the masters at work.”
Michael Joseph Jackson[1] (August 29, 1958 – June 25, 2009) was an American recording artist, dancer, singer-songwriter, musician, and philanthropist. Referred to as the King of Pop, Jackson is recognized as the most successful entertainer of all time by Guinness World Records.
“In the end, the most important thing is to be true to yourself and those you love and work hard. Work like there’s no tomorrow. Train. Strive. Really train and cultivate your talent to the highest degree. Be the best at what you do. Get to know more about your field than anybody alive. Use the tools of your trade, if it’s books or a floor to dance on or a body of water to swim in. Whatever it is, it’s yours. That’s what I’ve always tried to remember.”
His contribution to music, dance, and fashion, along with a much-publicized personal life, made him a global figure in popular culture for over four decades. The seventh child of the Jackson family, he debuted on the professional music scene along with his brothers as a member of The Jackson 5, then the Jacksons in 1964, and began his solo career in 1971.

Derek Sivers
“When you say ‘no’ to most things,
you leave room in your life
to throw yourself completely into that rare thing
that makes you say ‘HELL YEAH!’”
Derek Sivers (born September 22, 1969[1]) is best known for being the founder and former president of CD Baby, an online CD store for independent musicians.
“In the end it is about what you want to be,
not what you want to have.”
A professional musician (and circus clown) since 1987, Derek started CD Baby by accident in 1998 when he was selling his own CD on his website, and friends asked if he could sell theirs, too. CD Baby went on to become the largest seller of independent music on the web, with over $100M in sales for over 150,000 musician clients.
“Anything you hate to do, someone else loves.
So, find that person and let him do it.”
After he won the 2003 World Technology Award, ”Esquire” magazine’s annual “Best and Brightest” cover story said, “Derek Sivers is changing the way music is bought and sold . . . one of the last music-business folk heroes.”
In 2008, Derek sold CD Baby to focus on his new ventures to benefit musicians, including his new company, MuckWork, where teams of assistants help musicians do their “uncreative dirty work”. His current projects and writings are all at sivers.org.
“Starting small puts 100% of your energy
on actually solving real problems for real people.
It gives you a stronger foundation to grow from.”
John Lennon
“If being an egomaniac means I believe in what I do and in my art or music, then in that respect you can call me that… I believe in what I do, and I’ll say it.”
John Winston Ono Lennon, MBE (9 October 1940 – 8 December 1980) was an English musician and singer-songwriter who rose to worldwide fame as one of the founding members of The Beatles, one of the most commercially successful and critically acclaimed acts in the history of popular music.
“Part of me suspects that I’m a loser, and the other part of me thinks I’m God Almighty.”
Along with fellow Beatle Paul McCartney, he formed one of the most successful songwriting partnerships of the 20th century.
“I’m not going to change the way I look or the way I feel to conform to anything. I’ve always been a freak. So I’ve been a freak all my life and I have to live with that, you know. I’m one of those people.”
Gandhi
“A small body of determined spirits fired by an unquenchable faith in their mission can alter the course of history.”
Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi ( 2 October 1869 – 30 January 1948) was a pre-eminent political and ideological leader of India during the Indian independence movement. He pioneered satyagraha, resistance to tyranny through mass civil resistance.[1]
“A man is but the product of his thoughts
what he thinks, he becomes.”
His philosophy was firmly founded upon ahimsa (nonviolence). His philosophy and leadership helped India gain independence and inspired movements for civil rights and freedom across the world.

Tupac Shakur
“I want to grow. I want to be better. You grow. We all grow. We’re made to grow. You either evolve or you disappear.”
Tupac Amaru Shakur (June 16, 1971 – September 13, 1996), known by his stage names 2Pac (or simply Pac) and Makaveli, was an American rapper and occasional actor. Shakur had sold over 75 million albums worldwide as of 2007,[1] making him one of the best-selling music artists in the world.Rolling Stone Magazine named him the 86th Greatest Artist of All Time.[2]
“I don’t see myself being special; I just see myself having more responsibilities than the next man. People look to me to do things for them, to have answers.”
In addition to his career as a rap artist, he was also an actor.[3] The themes of most of Tupac’s songs are the violence and hardship in inner cities, racism, other social problems, and conflicts with other rappers during the East Coast – West Coast hip hop rivalry. Shakur began his career as a roadie and backup dancer for the alternative hip hop group Digital Underground.[4][5][6]
“You can spend minutes, hours, days, weeks, or even months over-analyzing a situation; trying to put the pieces together, justifying what could’ve, would’ve happened… or you can just leave the pieces on the floor and move the fuck on.”
On September 7, 1996, Shakur was shot four times in the Las Vegas metropolitan area of Nevada. He was taken to the University Medical Center, where he died 6 days later of respiratory failure and cardiac arrest.[7]
“Death is not the greatest loss in life.
The greatest loss is what dies inside while still alive.
Never surrender.”
The Buddha
“All that we are is the result of what we have thought. If a man speaks or acts with an evil thought, pain follows him. If a man speaks or acts with a pure thought, happiness follows him, like a shadow that never leaves him.”
Siddhārtha Gautama was a spiritual teacher from ancient India who founded Buddhism.[1] In most Buddhist traditions, he is regarded as the Supreme Buddha (P. sammāsambuddha, S. samyaksaṃbuddha) of our age, “Buddha” meaning “awakened one” or “the enlightened one.” [note 1]
“I do not believe in a fate that falls on men however they act; but I do believe in a fate that falls on them unless they act.”
